TECHNICAL DESCRIPTIONS
Modà vouches for the quality of its entirely hand-made unique specimens, for the selection of fabrics and materials, and for accurate manufacturing.
The silver/gold leaf finish is created through century-old handicraft. The different stages of manufacturing and the drying times are respected: we
carefully follow the appropriate method in applying the leaf and we use top-quality adhesives (sizing) and glazes (gilt). Our leaf-finished products
are completely non-toxic.
Our lacquers are made with non-toxic polyurethane paints that are high in dry residue. They are devoid of chlorides, mutagens and teratogens:
all products (save upholstered items) in gloss lacquering finishing receive a brushed polished lacquer, the most valuable among finishes, which
features a final “brushing” of the product with special polishing pads so as to provide its surface with maximum smoothness.
The methacrylate (synthetic glass) we use for backrests and bases allows our products to last long and to avoid the risk of breaking. Its “string
light” version is obtained by inserting the fabric into the methacrylate plate and by subsequently adjusting it.
Our decorative sequins consist of multi-faceted synthetic glasss (diameter 6.4/25) in three different colours: black, transparent or ruby red. They
are put into the drills by hand.
As for fabric cleaning, we recommend the use of a damp soft cloth and of a specific neutral fabric detergent. Aggressive cleaners and solvents
must be avoided.
Moda Sinfonia A detail is enough to change the classical idea of “containing”, and the inflection of this detail in several sizes and uses results in a proper orchestral piece. Harmonic shapes characterize each feature of Modà Sinfonia and imbue the necessarily practical nature of plasma stands, bookcases and wardrobes with dynamism.
